Let the fun begin

What a day! We picked up the kayak this morning (this included LOTS of fluffing around with Customs and Quarantine ... what is WITH those guys??!!), bought ourselves a new phone which allows us internet access so long as we have mobile coverage, and slipped the mooring lines from CYCA, Rushcutters Bay, at 1400 hrs.

The weather was devine, so we motored around Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour to take the obligatory photo's.

We had a brief spell at Middle Harbour waiting for Spit Bridge to open, then 'borrowed' a private mooring at picturesque Sugarloaf Bay.
At 2200hrs we had a 1,000,000 candle power spotlight burn out our retinas as the OWNER of the mooring, in his very large and very expensive motoryacht, kicked us off. No worries, we just 'borrowed' another one!!!!

Tomorrow we are sailing out the heads of Sydney harbour (my first taste of Australian coastal sailing) and up to the Hawkesbury River - wish me luck!!

Over and out ...
Tania
