5 – 8th June

After a pit-stop at Hamilton Island for a few supplies we motorsailed to Shaw Island for an overnight anchorage. Over the next few days we sailed south to Roylen Bay on Goldsmith Island (another overnighter), reaching Mackay on Sunday 8th. These 3 days were some of the best sailing we have so far, with wind light and calm seas giving us great speed through the water. The sun was shining, the temperate around 26degC and the kids well behaved. Does life get any better?!!

Tomorrow we will catch up with my parents and spend the week with them, as well as getting some maintenance done on the computer.

Our planned departure is next Sunday, at which point we will have another 2 weeks to sail around the Whitsundays again, then another week to head north to Townsville. Our time really seems to be flying by at this point … but rest assured we are going to make the most of every minute!
